CHARACTER INFORMATION
NAME: Garrett Hawke
CANON: Dragon Age series
AGE: mid thirties
CANON POINT: from Dragon Age: Inquisition, after the Here Lies the Abyss episode
BACKGROUND: http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Hawke
Important choices that were made in my playthrough:
- this is the Humourous/"purple" version of Hawke
- Warrior class
- his sister Bethany is a Grey Warden
- sided with the mages
- did not kill Anders
INCENTIVE/FIT:
(spoilers for Inquisition below)
In this version of events, Hawke will be the one who volunteers to stay behind in the Fade to kill the fear demon. In other words, he will be the one to give his life. After defeating the creature and falling, severely wounded and trapped in the Fade alone, he will be given his incentive--a second chance at life.
Hawke is a very flirtatious person and has no trouble being intimate with others. During the course of the game he has the option to flirt with several people, and you can bet this Hawke took every opportunity. He won't have many issues with the premise of this game.
SAMPLES:
It just made sense that it would turn out this way, really. Hawke's life had been a testament to just how bad a human being's luck could conceivably get, after all. Home destroyed? Check. Family killed? Check. Stuck in the Fade alone facing down a giant demon with more eyes than any creature should ever have, ever? The next step, logically.
He would have laughed if his entire body wasn't numb with pain. His eyes blearily took in the area around him, detached, as if he were looking at someone other than himself. There was more blood outside of his body than inside, it seemed. That probably wasn't a good sign.
That, and he was hallucinating. He had to have been, or else yet another demon had walked out of the green haze around him ready to start tormenting, and that really wasn't fair.
"Unfair," he said out loud. The person didn't seem bothered by it.
They launched into explanation about a city and intimacy and a whole bunch of other information that Hawke barely took in, because he really just wanted to die in piece, honestly, was that so much to ask at this point?--but then they said it. Go to the city, and you'll live. You'll see your friends and Bethany and Fenris again. Demon bullshit, probably.
Still, did he really have anything to lose?
"You're a demon," he said bluntly, because dying leaves one with very little patience, apparently. "Probably. A very bad demon, though, because if you want something you're asking the wrong man-- But all right. Why not?"
He really didn't care either way anymore. There was a very tempting light at the end of the tunnel then, and he probably would have changed his mind if he didn't start to feel the wounds in his body begin to close and the Fade begin to disappear around him. Was this it? Was he about to see his mother and Carver again? He had a lot to say to Carver-- After a good punch to the back of the head, could someone do that when they were dead?
Except he wasn't. Dead, that is. He was standing in a city that didn't look like anything he'd ever seen before, and the wounds were gone, and the giant carcass of the fear demon was nowhere to be found.
Maybe it wasn't demon bullshit after all.
ANYTHING ELSE? Hawke will be arriving with his axe and his trusty Mabari (dog), Remy.
